This will be a workshop and there will be labs. That means that you need to have a laptop with Visual Studio 2012/2013 with Azure SDK and Azure Training Kit installed. You can get the last two from the Microsoft Web Platform Installer (http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx). In the case that you do not have a laptop available, we can lend you one for the event.
You will also need an activated Windows Azure Subscription. You can get one for free from here: http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/free-trial/
(It may ask you for a credit card, though unless you explicitly remove the spending limit, it will not charge you). Companies or startups may also use their MSDN accounts if available.
However, ACTIVATION TAKES TIME, so please make sure you do it prior to the event!
At the end of the workshop, you will be familiar with cloud technologies, and how to deploy and manage your apps on Windows Azure.
