Maltadev has evolved into a new technology user group called Tech-Spark.
Tech-Spark is a volunteer group of ICT professionals who are interested in gaining and sharing knowledge in Microsoft technologies through networking and education, and contributing towards the growth of the local ICT industry.
The need has been felt to also cater for the IT professional audience such as system administrators, network engineers and operations staff.
The vision of the group is “To be the best ICT user group community in Malta, by providing excellent value to our membership.”
The mission of the group is “To foster an active community of technology professionals in Malta, providing our members unique opportunities to enhance their skills and value.”
The first Tech-Spark user group event was held on Wednesday 7th October at 18:00, at the Hilton. This was a two hour event and around 50 people have attended. It had two consecutive sessions:
- An introduction to Hyper-V and Windows 2008 R2 Server – Keith Tabone, Director at Clam Technologies
- An Introduction to UX Design and tools – Wayne Zammit, Software Enginner at MITA
The aim is to have a number of these events throughout the year, and the speakers will be selected from different ICT companies, as well as foreign speakers.
A big thank you to the Maltadev team for their work in the past years.
